K Camp borrows Snoop Dogg’s wisdom on new single

Snoop Dogg starts off K Camp’s new single “Writing on the Wall” with some sage advice.

“As you grow, you lose certain homies because it’s called closing the gap… Notice how you grow and they don’t… And if they don’t catch up, you gotta leave them behind,” the Doggfather advises.

His monologue sets the tone for the entire song, which sees Camp reflecting on his own growth and the people in his life.

“Me and my dad still ain’t talkin’ and that shit just blows my mind / I guess the price of fame will change your family, every time,” he raps. “I’m like, man, who can I trust? ’Cause shit done changed up when I signed / Or maybe it’s just me, I left that bullshit behind.”
