Juicy J confronts police brutality on “Hella Fuckin’ Trauma”

It samples Three 6 Mafia’s 1999 song, “Time for da Juice Mane.”

Three 6 Mafia’s Juicy J says “enough is enough” with his new single, “Hella Fuckin’ Trauma.”

The rapper calls out police brutality and racism on the self-produced song. “All this racist shit gon’ fuck around and make me send it up / They keep killin’ all these n***as, man, a ride ain’t enough / I just drank a Corona, is it a virus or what? / They been lynchin’ shit for hundred years, we still endin’ up,” he spits.

The track samples Three 6 Mafia’s 1999 song, “Time for da Juice Mane,” and also takes aim at predatory record labels: “Labels wanna own my masters, enough is enough / I can’t hit you on your Cashapp, enough is enough.”

“Hella Fuckin’ Trauma” is one of several recently released tracks inspired by the ongoing protests and public outrage over the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis. Dua Saleh, Conway the Machine and Terrace Martin have also dropped music to advocate an end to police violence.
