JPEGMAFIA offers prayers on “Jesus Forgive Me, I Am a Thot”

Peggy promises the track is “just a taste before I waste you.”

Hot on the heels of his explosion in the hip hop underground last year, JPEGMAFIA is back with a video for “Jesus Forgive Me, I am a Thot.”

In a visual directed by Andrew McGlennon, Peggy sways and rhymes in a serene spectacle of lilac deserts and sunny suburban houses. His signature beat switch resurfaces soon enough as gentle new age instrumentals and industrial bass passages intertwine over his verses. “They say the church leave us all behind / Speaking in tongues like I’m David Byrne,” he raps.

“Jesus Forgive Me, I Am a Thot” foreshadows new JPEGMAFIA material, which he’s taken to self-deprecatingly calling a “disappointment” on social media.

Peggy featured on Channel Tres’ track Black Moses” in July, and also recently dropped a video for the single The Who,” featuring Eyas.
