Joyner Lucas reflects on his come-up on “Broke and Stupid”

‘ADHD’ is on the way.

Ahead of his forthcoming project, ADHD, Joyner Lucas has dropped off a new song, “Broke and Stupid.”

“Broke and Stupid” comes across as more personal than Lucas’ previous, provocative releases, namely the Logic collab “ISIS” and “Devil’s Work.” On this new track, the rapper spits about how he overcome childhood poverty to rise through the hip hop ranks and rub shoulders with the A-listers: “They told me to be patient but I need to flex / I’m so famous, I could finally hit Jay-Z to rec / I might hit up Drake and tell him to send me the jet / I might drink Ciroc with Puff, if he send me a check.”

The song was accompanied by a music video that spotlights folks from Lucas’ hometown of Worcester, Massachusetts. While waiting for ADHD, check it out below:
