JID returns with “Cludder Freestyle”

Produced by Nice Rec and Christo.

JID has made his return with a new track called “Cludder Freestyle.”

The chaotic single, which is built around a fierce piano-driven beat, is courtesy of frequent JID collaborators, producers Nice Rec and Christo. The Atlanta rapper goes heavy on the basketball metaphors to wax lyrical about his childhood.

“They ain’t dribblin’, they travelin’, they ain’t civil, they savages / Wrist little, they shootin’ like Shawn Marion accurate,” he spits. “Boy, you’re dumb, you your daddy son never had shit / L’il bad kid tryna act big, I send him home with an ass kickin’ and an aspirin.”

The freestyle marks JID’s first release since his group, Spillage Village, released their new album, Spilligion. The rapper also teamed up with Kenny Mason and IDK for the loosie “Cereal” earlier this year, following his collaboration with Smino and Kenny Beats, “Baguetti.”
