Jean Deaux has released “Moody!,” a new collaboration with fellow Chicago rapper Saba.
Deaux exudes supreme confidence over a knocking beat produced by Saba’s Pivot Gang associate daedaePIVOT and Cory Grindberg. “OMG, I seen her on my newsfeed, like ‘Who’s she?’” she spits on the hook. “Scary hours, spooky / He love me ’cause I’m moody / Mwah, chef kiss when I’m in it, it’s a movie / Wow, your bitch hella goin’, but she bougie.”
“Moody!” follows the release of Deaux’s 2019 loosies “Aura” and “Karma,” which in turn follow her Empathy EP, which featured Kehlani, Duckwrth and ROMderful. More recently, Deaux appeared alongside Bibi Bourelly on TOKiMONSTA’s song “One Day,” from the producer’s Oasis Nocturno album.
On the other hand, Saba formed the supergroup Ghetto Sage with Noname and Smino last year, releasing their debut single “Häagen Dazs” in October.
