Iggy Azalea teases new song off ‘Surviving the Summer’

Her latest project is finally about to drop in full.

It’s been a long and winding road for Azalea. Ever since the Australian rapper’s sophomore album Digital Distortion flopped on the charts before it was even released in full, she has been silent. Until now.

Returning with a brand-new EP titled Surviving the Summer, the record is set to drop on July 6. And she’s rolling out the promos on social media with a brief track teaser.

Based on the tags on the post, it looks like the song’s been produced by hip hop powerhouses Ronny J and Mike Will Made It, who helmed tracks like “Houston” and “23”, respectively. So don’t expect a “Fancy” 2.0. The track’s snippet definitely leans away from the rapper’s poppier efforts.

“First you get the money / Then you get the power,” Azalea raps over the bass-heavy beat. There’s nothing much to the clip other than that, but it’ll be enough to get her fans excited about her comeback.
