IDK taps A$AP Ferg for “Mazel Tov”

It soundtracks the Showtime documentary ‘Basketball County: In the Water.’

IDK and A$AP Ferg have joined forces on a new song, “Mazel Tov.”

On the track, IDK plays off the single’s title and sprinkles references to Jewish culture throughout the track. “Mazel Tov to the gang / Livin’ far from lames / Livin’ out in the Hills / Jewish guys pay my bills / Jewish n***a pay my tax / Over five-hunnid racks / Uncle Sam need a slap,” he spits.

Later in the track, Ferg jumps in with a verse that references Kylie Jenner and her daughter, Stormi. “My money Stormi, make it rain like Kylie Jenner / When I’m on the mic and I spit that rap, I’mma kill the track / A$AP, I put New York on my back / Tesla Cybertruck up on the dash,” he raps.

“Mazel Tov” is the second song from Kevin Durant’s Showtime documentary Basketball County: In the Water, for which IDK served as music supervisor and composer. The first track, “495,” was released earlier this month and featured Weensey, Rico Nasty, Big Jam and Big Flock.

“Mazel Tov” marks the second time IDK and Ferg have collaborated, following 2018’s “Kristi,” alongside Nick Nack and Denzel Curry. Last month, the DMV rapper dropped a video for his song “In My White Tee.”
