Hopsin proclaims himself the “Picasso” of rap

A new visual from the Los Angeles rapper.

Hopsin has dropped a video for his new single, “Picasso.”

The Los Angeles rapper portrays a wide range of characters in the self-directed clip, acting out various scenes that match his rapid-fire rhymes. He even dons a wig to play a lean-sipping, face-tattooed rapper, all the while spitting derisive bars about hip hop’s new normal: “I’ve been told the new game plan’s to make bullshit for the new wave’s fans / And you can’t pop unless you take Xans, and flex on the ’Gram like you do make bands.”

“Picasso” is the latest in a slew of Hopsin singles, such as “You Should’ve Known.” Will he finally drop a project? It’s anyone’s guess. Check out the new video here:
