Hear Tame Impala’s remix of 070 Shake’s “Guilty Conscience”

A lush rework from one of rap’s favorite rock musicians.

070 Shake has recruited none other than Tame Impala to remix her song “Guilty Conscience,” from her debut album Modus Vivendi.

For the first Tame Impala remix since a rework of Miguel’s song “Waves” in 2016, mastermind Kevin Parker added his signature lush synths and intricately programmed drums, drenching Shake’s voice in reverb.

This is not the first time Shake and Parker have ‘worked’ together—both artists contributed to “Ghost Town,” the standout track from Kanye West’s 2018 album Ye and the song that made many take notice of Shake in the first place.

Other hip hop artists Parker has worked with include The Streets, A$AP Rocky and Travis Scott. Earlier this year, he released his latest album as Tame Impala, The Slow Rush.

Besides “Guilty Conscience,” Modus Vivendi also featured the tracks “Under the Moon,” “Morrow” and “Nice to Have.”
