Lupe Fiasco has teamed up with Orlando producer Kaelin Ellis for a brand-new EP, House.
The project features five tracks and contributions from Crystal Torres and Graham Burris. Virgil Abloh, who featured on the previously released song “Shoes,” also appears on three other tracks, “Homme Made,” “Dinosaurs” and “LF95.”
According to a press release, the House EP “came together by chance.” Ellis had been working on a couple of instrumentals during lockdown and decided to reach out to Fiasco via Twitter to see if he was interested in collaborating. To the producer’s surprise, the Chicago rapper agreed and the rest was history.
Last month, Fiasco put out “Rest Up Big Homey… We Got it from Here,” a tribute to the late George Floyd. Ellis previously dropped the 12-track instrumental album, Moments.
