Hear Common’s new album, ‘Let Love’

Featuring Daniel Caesar, Swizz Beatz, BJ the Chicago Kid and more.

Common has pulled back the curtains on his 12th studio album, Let Love.

The collab-heavy record collects 11 tracks, including previously released singles “Hercules” with Swizz Beatz and the Daniel Caesar-assisted “HER Love.” BJ the Chicago Kid, A-Trak, Samora Pinderhughes, Leon Bridges and more also contribute to the album, which was inspired by Common’s memoir Let Love Have the Last Word.

“The book was the seed that started me in this conversation,” the rapper said in a statement. “It’s not like each song will match a chapter. It’s just another form of expression of what I wanted to get out there. I believe that the energy of love and the act of love, the practice of it, is the thing that we can use as individuals and as people to overcome the heaviness of the times.”

Yesterday, Common released a second music video for “Hercules,” titled “Episode 2.” While it doesn’t include another cameo from Vince Staples, the fresh black-and-white clip features Common and Swizz twinning in matching power suits. Check it out below:
