Hear Bad Bunny’s sophomore album, ‘YHLQMDLG’

The follow-up to ‘X 100PRE’ has arrived.

Bad Bunny has released his much-anticipated sophomore album, YHLQMDLG. The title is an acronym for “Yo hago lo que me da la gana,” which means “I do whatever I want” in Spanish.

The hefty 20-track record features an impressive line-up of contributors, including rappers Daddy Yankee, Anuel AA, Arcángel and more. Benito also reunites with producer Tainy, who produced much of his debut album X 100PRE, for the songs “La Santa” and “Yo Perreo Sola.” He previously previewed the album with “Ignorantes,” featuring Sech.

The album was first announced last Friday, during Bunny’s appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The rapper also performed a rendition of “Ignorantes” with Sech, backed by The Roots.

Bunny also used the performance to raise awareness for the murder of Alexa Negrón Luciano, a transgender woman who was killed in Puerto Rico earlier that week. He wore a shirt that read “Mataron a Alexa. No a un hombre con falda” (“They killed Alexa. Not a man in a skirt”), in response to Puerto Rican news headlines that referred to Luciano as “a man in a skirt” following her death.
