Hear a previously unreleased version of Jay-Z’s “Holy Grail”

Featuring verses from The-Dream.

A previously unheard version of Jay-Z’s “Holy Grail” featuring The-Dream is now available for streaming.

During a joint livestream with songwriter Sean Garrett on March 29, The-Dream previewed a rendition of the song which featured a guest verse from the singer himself. “Jay’s probably gonna kill me for playing this,” he joked. Check out a snippet of the livestream below.

The-Dream, whose real name is Terius Nash, co-wrote and produced “Holy Grail,” which appeared as a single on Hov’s 2013 album Magna Carta Holy Grail. Although the final studio version featured a cameo from Justin Timberlake, the original production had an intro, bridge and chorus sung by The-Dream.

The official cut spent 27 weeks on Billboard’s Hot 100 Chart and went on to top the Rhythmic Airplay Chart in September 2013. It also won the Best Rap/Sung Collaboration award at the 2014 Grammys.

Following the livestream, the studio version of “Holy Grail” with The-Dream was released exclusively on Tidal. Check it out below:
