On the Swizz-produced “Been to War,” X and Montana rhyme aggressively about their hardships. “I’mma march to the beat, I’m my own drummer / Let’s get it on baby, we can go to war all summer / I done been to jail, I done did numbers / I donе been to hell, I done been under,” DMX spits.
DMX died last week after he was hospitalized for a heart attack., Shortly after news of his passing, X’s longtime collaborator Swizz joined countless others in paying tribute to the rap veteran. .
In a social media post remembering DMX’s legacy, Swizz wrote: “I’m truly beyond devastated!!!!!! But I’m so happy my brother is no longer in pain. I watched him take everyone’s pain and make it his own. I send my love and support to his entire family. My brother we will never let them forget your name and you will live forever.”
