Headie One, Skepta go “Back to Basics” in new MV

The Tottenham rapper’s first release since May.

Headie One has dropped a video for his latest single, “Back to Basics,” featuring Skepta.

In the Hugo Jenkins-directed clip, the two British rappers perform the track on a rooftop set alongside their posse. The video also features scenes in a warehouse set and on the streets of a London suburb. “Switch off my iPhone, back to basics / No, we ain’t watching faces / Violate us, man are catching cases / I was on the high road, armed and dangerous,” they rap on the chorus.

“Back to Basics” is Headie’s first release since May’s “All Day.” On the other hand, Skepta recently made his comeback with Ignorance is Bliss, his first full-length in over three years.
