Gunna and Polo G connect for new song, “Waves”

From a compilation spearheaded by NBA player Kawhi Leonard.

Gunna and Polo G have connected for a new song called “Waves.”

The two rappers spit confidently over a laid-back instrumental co-produced by Foreign Teck, Dez Wright and Mally Mall. “Jumped off the porch, plush, two-door Porsche / Got vibes in New York, got stars in the Royce / My style is Dior, got wild freaky hoes / Keep codeine and pour, the wave with no shore,” Gunna rhymes in the chorus.

“Waves” is the second official single to be released from Culture Jam, the compilation album that NBA player Kawhi Leonard is dropping with Warner Records’ Eesean Bolden. The first song to be shared from the project was Youngboy Never Broke Again and Rod Wave’s “Everything Different.”

Culture Jam will always be a platform where creators’ ideas and talents come to life and serve our family and our communities,” Leonard told Complex. “As an athlete that loves family, music, culture and community, it was extremely important for me to build a space where all these elements thrive.”

In May, Gunna teamed up with Internet Money, Don Toliver and Lil Uzi Vert on “His & Hers.” Earlier this month, Polo dropped a video for “Toxic” from his latest album Hall of Fame.
