Gucci Mane alleges beef with ‘Breakfast Club’ hosts DJ Envy, Angela Yee

The rapper believes he was banned from appearing on the radio show.

Gucci Mane has clashed with DJ Envy and Angela Yee, co-hosts of Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club, over claims that he has been banned from the radio show since 2016.

In a new video interview titled Growing with Gucci, Guwop told Breakfast Club’s third host Charlamagne tha God that he hasn’t been allowed to appear on the radio show after a dispute with Yee and Envy three years ago. Although it’s unclear how his ban actually began, the Atlanta rapper claimed that Yee made sexual advances on him during an episode he was on, and he was later removed from the show. Gucci then reasserted that he “did nothing” to Yee and that he won’t apologize to her.

“[The decision to ban him] came from that punk-ass bitch and DJ Envy. He’s a pussy, too,” Gucci told Charlamagne. “I’m gonna give him his face-to-face because me and him never had no issue. I’m gonna confront him about what he and Angela did.”

The rapper also threatened to “slap the shit out” of Envy if the radio DJ tried to defend himself. “It ain’t gonna be his first time getting slapped,” Gucci added. Watch his full interview with Charlamagne below:

Envy later rebutted the rapper’s claims on social media. “La Flare was never banned from The Breakfast Club,” he wrote on Instagram. “When asked, ‘Would I do an interview without Yee…’ My reply was, ‘I will not do anything unless you clear it with my co-worker… We call that riding for your team where I’m from!!!” The DJ also slammed Gucci for being mad at Yee for defending herself.

Earlier this month, Yee denied the allegations, saying Guwop had a “history of lying” and that she never pursued him romantically. “I don’t do that behind the scenes,” Yee during a recent episode of Breakfast Club. “You said something publicly that wasn’t true, you should apologize.”

Gucci is currently promoting his new album, Woptober II, which dropped last Friday.
