Goodie Mob make long-awaited return with ‘Survival Kit’

With appearances by André 3000, Big Boi and Chuck D.

Goodie Mob—comprising Cee-Lo Green, Big Gipp, Khujo and T-Mo—have returned with their first album in seven years, Survival Kit.

The hefty 16-track record is the follow-up to the group’s 2013 comeback album, Age Against the Machine. The new LP features separate collaborations with OutKast’s André 3000 and Big Boi on “No Cigar” and “Prey 4 da Sheep,” respectively. Meanwhile, Public Enemy’s Chuck D guests on opening track “Are You Ready.”

Throughout the LP, the group address police brutality and the ongoing Black Lives Matter movement. “Right now, just seeing all of our people on TV marching and protesting and being shot at, bottles and stuff being chucked at the police, people burning down buildings and looting because we’re tired of all of the injustices,” T-Mo explained in a statement.
