Giggs drops fiery freestyle for ‘Daily Duppy’

He pays homage to the Marvel universe and He-Man.

Giggs recently made an appearance on GRM Daily’s Daily Duppy series for a charismatic freestyle.

With his unique flow and nifty cadence, the South London rapper made constant references to popular culture from the Marvel Cinematic Universe to retro superheroes like He-Man and Battle Cat.

“The liveliest member, I’m live in the centre / Rising Avenger / Riding around, hiding a blender / These guys are corona, I’m nice with the cleanser / Quite an agenda / Was gone till November / I light up December / I’m sending these texts she likes me to send her / She likes me, I’m sexy, I like when it’s tender,” he spits in the opening verses.

The freestyle follows his appearance on a special Daily Duppy installment where he performed alongside Ghetts—whom he mentions in his freestyle—for their collaborative track “Crud.” The track comes off Ghetts’ star-studded record Conflict of Interest, released in February.

Giggs released his surprise mixtape Now or Never last November. The 16-track record included collaborations with artists such as Emeli Sandé, A Boogie wit da Hoodie, Dave, Obongjayar and more. It followed 2019’s Big Bad…, an 18-track project that featured songs like “Baby,” “Set it Off” and “187”.
