G-Eazy releases deluxe edition of ‘When it’s Dark Out’

It includes two new songs, “Years to Go” and “Lifestyles of the Rich & Hated.”

G-Eazy has released the deluxe edition of his 2015 album, When it’s Dark Out.

The extended version, which dropped last Friday, was released in celebration of the full-length’s fifth anniversary on December 4. The deluxe edition adds two new songs: “Years to Go” featuring Goody Grace and “Lifestyles of the Rich & Hated” with Rick Ross.

According to Complex, the Oakland rapper is also set to release a deluxe edition of his 2017 album, The Beautiful & Damned, which turned three on December 15. However, it’s not clear when the new edition will be released.

G-Eazy is expected to perform new and old cuts from both albums during his upcoming livestream performance on December 22. “Hella Excited to announce When it’s Dark Out and The Beautiful & Damned anniversary livestream shows on 12/22,” he wrote on Instagram. “Will be performing both albums. Something special for the fans who’ve stuck with me since Day 1, especially throughout this crazy year. The music keeps us together.”

Earlier this year, G-Eazy released Everything’s Strange Here, which saw the rapper experiment with new sounds and genres like synth pop and psychedelia. He also recently dropped the song “Hate the Way” with blackbear, a taste of his next album These Things Happen Too, due out 2021.
