Future, Lil Uzi Vert unveil trailer for new collab

Something’s cooking.

Future and Lil Uzi Vert have shared a trailer for their hotly anticipated joint project.

They had begun teasing their collaborative project back in July with a short skit starring the rappers at a laundromat. Titled Astronauts, the project was expected to drop that same month on Lil Uzi’s 26th birthday but was ultimately delayed. Now, with this brand-new teaser, Future and Lil Uzi have seemed to confirm that the record is imminent.

Uploaded to Future’s collaborator DJ Esco’s YouTube page, the minute-long, purple-hued clip features the rappers arriving at the studio sessions in their majestic whips, before taking turns to get behind the booth. Elsewhere Future and Lil Uzi do what they do best, vibing out their music and smoking up the room with their crew.

The teaser was also soundtracked by a snippet, presumably from their upcoming project. As XXL Mag notes, the song is titled “Another Planet,” which Future had previewed on his social media last week. “So far gone outer space / So I hid out of place / So far gone outer space / So I hid out of place / Living like astronauts,” the Atlanta rapper spits on his Auto-Tuned verse.

The trailer dropped a month after the rappers shared two new songs, “Patek” and “Over Your Head.” It’s currently unclear if those tracks will be featured on their upcoming release. No other details surrounding the mixtape have been announced. Prior to that, Lil Uzi and Future had appeared on each other’s recent solo albums, Eternal Atake and High Off Life respectively.
