Freddie Gibbs, The Alchemist release joint project, ‘Alfredo’

Featuring Rick Ross, Conway the Machine and more.

Freddie Gibbs and The Alchemist have teamed up again for Alfredo, their first joint project in two years.

For the ten-track release, the duo enlisted an impressive line-up of guest rappers, including Rick Ross and Tyler, the Creator. Griselda Records’ Benny the Butcher and Conway the Machine also appear on “Frank Lucas” and “Babies & Fools,” respectively.

The project dropped alongside a video for the opening track, “1985.” In the clip, Gibbs and The Alchemist meet up in the middle of the desert to dispose of a body after a drug deal goes wrong. “Keep them beamin’ up to Scotty in my crack lobby / I can smell the ’caine burnin’ / Gangland, if you put a hit on Freddie Kane it’ll be a gang murder / 1985, Michael Jordan, bitch, I travel with a cocaine circus,” Gibbs spits.

Gibbs and The Alchemist previously teamed up with Curren$y for Fetti in 2018. Earlier this month, the rapper released The Diamond Mine Sessions, which reimagined cuts from his 2019 joint album with Madlib, Bandana.
