Freddie Gibbs, Madlib unveil deluxe version of ‘Piñata’

Eighty-three tracks spread across five discs.

Freddie Gibbs and Madlib have shared a supersized deluxe version of their very first collaborative album, Piñata.

The massive edition of the 2014 album features 83 tracks spread across five discs, and includes remixes by house DJ Alex Goose as well as a slew of instrumentals offerings. The record also features loosies, such as “Cocaine Parties,” which is Gibbs’ take on Kanye West’s 2016 track “No More Parties in LA.”

Piñata was the first studio album from MadGibbs. Back in 2019, they continued their creative relationship with their sophomore album Bandana. Gibbs also recently released a powerful cover of Gil Scott-Heron and Brian Jackson’s 1974 track, “Winter in America.”
