Freddie Gibbs, Big Sean win the NBA Championship in “4 Thangs” MV

In a nod to the Los Angeles Lakers’ victory last month.

Freddie Gibbs and Big Sean are the 2020 NBA Champions in their new “4 Thangs” video.

Alongside the track’s producer Hit-Boy, the rappers portray Los Angeles Lakers players in a nod to the team’s victory over the Miami Heat in the NBA Finals last month. The clip cuts back and forth between media interviews and the rowdy locker room celebration, where Gibbs and Sean trade energetic bars.

“She keep calling me babe, I said ‘That’s not my name’ / Million dollars, million followers, ho, that’s not the same / And I just washed off the chicken, baby, that’s not cocaine / Shit’s so hot, you got two hundred, you can get like four thangs,” the duo rap.

“4 Thangs” follows full-length albums from the pair—Sean’s Detroit 2 and Gibbs’ Alfredo, which was jointly released with The Alchemist—and arrives a decade after both rappers were named to the 2010 XXL Freshman Class.
