Lul G, a former member of the California hip hop group SOB x RBE, has been arrested on a murder charge.
The 21-year-old rapper born George Harris was taken into custody on September 21, the Solano County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to Rolling Stone yesterday. Harris is currently held at the Staton Correctional Facility in Fairfield, California. A bail amount and court date for the rapper have not been set yet. No other information surrounding Harris’ arrest has been made available.
Harris joined SOB x RBE in 2016, alongside members Slimmy B (real name Jabbar Brown), Yhung TO (Juwon Lee) and DaBoii (Wayman Barrow). The rap collective shot to prominence in 2018 with their feature on “Paramedic!,” a song from Kendrick Lamar’s Black Panther: The Album. SOB x RBE’s output so far includes three studio albums, one mixtape and more recently, a joint EP with DJ Marshmello.
Harris left the group last year to pursue a solo career under Def Jam Recordings, which released his 2017 debut album, Yhung N***a World. However in April, the rapper made an appearance on SOB x RBE’s surprise album, Family Not a Group, that was produced by Hit-Boy.
