Flo Milli samples ‘Dora the Explorer’ for “Back Pack”

But her bars aren’t kid-friendly.

Flo Milli has an unlikely inspiration for her new single: the children’s television show Dora the Explorer.

“Back Pack (Flora the Explorer)” samples the hook from the famous “Backpack, Backpack!” song from the animated series, and turns it on its head with hard-hitting bars. “Keep talkin’ shit, it can get lit / You know I’m petty, don’t try me l’il bitch / I’m bougie and rich, tell her, ‘Get off my clit’ / This ho think I’m playin’, do I look like a kid?” she spits.

The accompanying video stars Milli as a grown-up Dora—who goes by Flora the Explorer—alongside her monkey sidekick. The clip also features Millie exploring an animated forest, where she dodges falling trees and traverses rivers.

“Back Pack” is Milli’s second release of 2021, following “Roaring 20s,” her collaboration with Kenny Beats which sampled “Fiddler on the Roof.” Last year, she teamed up with Big Freedia for “Better Be” and $NOT for “Mean.”
