Flo Milli heads to the “Roaring 20s” in her new video

Flo Milli has released a video for “Roaring 20s,” the Kenny Beats-produced single that samples “If I Were a Rich Man” from Fiddler on the Roof.

The rapper plays a flapper in the extravagant and aptly 1920s-themed video, directed by Child. In it, the rising Alabama rapper counts her stacks of cash and puts on a dazzling burlesque show that nods to the glamor of the decade.

Milli previously explained her admiration of flappers in a press statement. “A flapper is a young woman; unbothered by conventional standards of behavior. In addition to being more sexually free than previous generations, the women of the Roaring Twenties had the bobbed hair, the short skirts, the drankin’, the smokin’, looks and participated in activities that were deemed ‘unladylike,’” she said. “My lyrics, my style, and my lifestyle all resonate with that freedom and I AM the Roaring Twenties.”

“Roaring 20s” is Milli’s first release of 2021. Earlier this month, she teamed up with Rich the Kid on his track “Nasty,” along with Mulatto and Rubi Rose.
