Flatbush Zombies unveil psychedelic “iamlegend” video

From their forthcoming EP, ‘Now, More Than Ever.’

Brooklyn rap trio Flatbush Zombies have released a new single, “iamlegend.” It dropped alongside a head-spinning, technicolor visual directed by PTA HAITI 3000.

The psychedelic video weaves together saturated surveillance footage of Meechy Darko, Zombie Juice and Erick Arc Elliott exploring different cities with surreal and startling clips. Look for shots of a decaying hog, people in hazmat suits and marching nuns.

“Hustle all my life / Seen the light through the tunnel / And I might wanna fuck with ya, who knows / But tonight it’s a must that we know / Let ya hair go, and I’m that n***a, ayy,” Zombie Juice brags over the sleek production, courtesy of Elliott (under his producer moniker Erick the Architect) and Linden Jay.

“iamlegend” is set to appear on Flatbush Zombies’ upcoming Now, More Than Ever EP. The six-track project will arrive on June 5 and feature “some of the most introspective and personal writing by the trio to date, touching on a harrowing couple of years in which each member of the group lost primary parental figures in their lives,” according to a press release.

Flatbush Zombies dropped their last album, Vacation in Hell, in 2018. Last year, the group shared the loosie “Monica” featuring Tech N9ne. They also released Escape from New York, their debut album as part of the rap collective Beast Coast.
