Fivio Foreign arrested on assault charge

The Brooklyn emcee had allegedly caused bodily injury to another person.

Up-and-coming Brooklyn drill rapper Fivio Foreign was recently arrested for assault in New Jersey.

According to XXL, the rapper born Maxie Lee Ryles III was arrested on Saturday (October 10) on a simple assault charge. Details surrounding the incident are currently scarce, but based on the police records obtained, Fivio had “knowingly [caused] bodily injury to another person,” according to the publication. The rapper still remains in custody at Bergen County Jail and has not been granted bond.

A rep for Fivio has yet to release a statement.


Fivio has enjoyed a successful year since the release of his 2019 breakout hit, “Big Drip,” which appeared on his debut EP Pain and Love. He later shared the follow-up, 800 BC, which included collaborations with Lil Baby, Meek Mill and Lil Tjay. He also earned a guest spot on Drake’s Dark Lane Demo Tapes.

Fivio has dropped three collaborations within the past month: “Bop it” with Polo G and Kenny Beats, “Spicy” with Nas and A$AP Ferg, and “I am What I am” with King Von.
