Famous Dex has reportedly checked into rehab.
According to AllHipHop, the Chicago rapper was recently taken to rehab for unspecified reasons, however, the news surfaced after he had posted several concerning messages and videos of himself intoxicated over the weekend. At one point, Dex had tweeted, “I don’t wanna smile no more.”
In a series of photos shared to social media earlier this week, fellow rapper Rich the Kid was spotted seeing off his friend to rehab, Complex reported. “we all proud of you bro,” Rich wrote in a since-deleted post on Instagram.
Later, Dex assured fans via his IG stories that he will “be back soon,” further suggesting that he has taken some time off to recover.

Reps for Dex have yet to address the news.
NLE Choppa had previously expressed his concern over Dex and called on his supporters and label, 300 Entertainment, to “help [the] dude out.” “I’ve never been the type to be in folks business but @300 y’all see @FamousDex obviously on drugs too heavy can y’all at least try surrounding that man around somebody with his best interest,” NLE Choppa tweeted in late November.
Dex then thanked the Memphis rapper for looking out for him, saying “bless that someone care about me.”
In 2019, Dex revealed he was quitting lean and Xanax for good, and that he wanted to “get right” and “make the world get better,” as Complex reported.
Late last year, Dex suffered from an epileptic seizure while performing at 1 OAK in West Hollywood. The rapper reportedly fainted on stage and was taken to the hospital.
