Eminem claps back at TikTok haters with “Tone Deaf” lyric video

TikTok users had campaigned to cancel the rapper.

Eminem has seemingly responded to his TikTok haters with a new lyric video for “Tone Deaf.”

The video, which was released on Friday (March 5), doubles down on the rapper’s controversial career and references moments from his 20 years in music-making. “I won’t stop even when my hair turns grey (I’m tone-deaf) / ’Cause they won’t stop until they cancel me,” Em tweeted alongside the clip, referencing a line from the track.

The online campaign to cancel the rapper reportedly began back in February but gained significant traction on TikTok last week. Users called for the rapper’s cancellation over lyrics for his 2010 song “Love the Way You Lie,” specially over the line: “If she ever tries to fucking leave again / I’mma tie her to the bed and set this house on fire.”
