Earl Sweatshirt releases surprise project, ‘Feet of Clay’

Music “recorded during the death throes of a crumbling empire.”

Earl Sweatshirt has dropped a surprise new project, Feet of Clay.

The seven-track release clocks in at 15 minutes, with features from rappers Mavi and Mach-Hommy. The Alchemist, Ovrkast and Earl himself contributed production.

FoC is a collection of observations and feelings recorded during the death throes of a crumbling empire,” the rapper said in a statement. The album will appeal to fans who liked the off-kilter lo-fi sound of Earl’s last album, Some Rap Songs, that he released in December 2018.
