E-40 announces new album with “Melt,” featuring Milla

Can you spot the hat-tip to Blueface?

E-40 has a new album, Practice Makes Paper, on the way. Our first glimpse is “Melt,” featuring Milla, which arrived with a vibrant video.

For the clip, the West Coast rapper shows off his bling and ’fit in a dance party with his friends, including other Bay Area figures like P-Lo, Nef the Pharaoh and ShooterGang Kony. Scantily clad dancers and bone-breakers inject more energy into the visual.

Milla delivers the assertive chorus—“I don’t drip, I melt!”—but it’s, of course, E-40’s show. The steady beat is a great showcase for his offbeat flow, which younger rappers like Blueface have been picking up on. Watch out for E-40 and his dancers’ small nod to the “Thotiana” rapper when they do his signature ‘bust down’ move.
