Dreezy is back in the game with “RIP Aretha”

From her forthcoming album, ‘Big Dreez,’ out this Friday.

It’s been three years since Chicago MC Dreezy released her debut full-length, No Hard Feelings, and she’s returning to the game strong. Just take her new single, “RIP Aretha.”

Produced by DZL and Akeel Henry, the track pays tribute to the late Aretha Franklin with bars like “Franklin, Aretha (Rest up) / Two seat, at least (Gone).” Dreezy gets cocky, too, rapping, “You know I’ma eat, I don’t need no utensils (Eat it up) / I get attention, he need Ritalin / Rollie my wrist, I can’t fuck with no mini man.”

The song is taken from her forthcoming album, Big Dreez, which will feature Offset, Jeremih and Jacquees, among others. It will also include the previously released tracks, “Chanel Slides” featuring Kash Doll, and “Where Them $ @.”
