Drake shares new three-track EP, ‘Scary Hours 2’

Ahead of his ‘Certified Lover Boy’ album.

Drake has released a brand-new EP titled Scary Hours 2.

The EP consists of three tracks: “What’s Next,” “Wants and Needs” featuring Lil Baby, and “Lemon Pepper Freestyle” with Rick Ross. The project serves as a prelude to Drake’s upcoming release Certified Lover Boy, which got delayed after the rapper underwent knee surgery in January.

The EP was accompanied by a Theo Skudra-directed video for “What’s Next.” In the cinematic clip, Drizzy braves the cold Toronto winter to perform on the city’s empty streets. He also visits the Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada, where he raps in front of sharks and jellyfish.

During an earlier update on OVO Sounds Radio, Drake said that he’s still working on CLB, which will feature contributions from his frequent collaborators Noel Cadastre and Noah “40” Shebib. “CLB is currently being chef’d in every way possible … I don’t have an exact date, but it’s in the pot and it’s coming soon,” he said, according to Pitchfork.

Scary Hours 2 is the sequel to his 2018 Scary Hours EP, which included the songs “Diplomatic Immunity” and the future Scorpion cut, “God’s Plan.”
