Drake says his new album will be “more concise”

“I’ll probably make it a more realistic offering,” the rapper said.

Drake has revealed that his upcoming album will be “more concise” than his massive 2018 double album Scorpion.

Last Friday, while the Canadian rapper was sitting courtside to witness the Toronto Raptors play against the Phoenix Suns, Drake dropped some new details about his forthcoming project during an interview with the game’s announcers.

“Last album, I went high volume. It did two sides, 20-something songs, which is a lot of songs,” Drizzy said. “This [new] album, I’ll probably make it a more realistic offering, something more concise.”

He continued: “Anywhere, whatever you want, it can be ten, 11, 16 [songs]. I also do a lot of different types of music so it’s tough to make it like a seven-song album or something like that.” Drake also added that he’s having a lot of fun making music at the moment. While an official release date for Drake’s new project has not yet been revealed, the rapper has been keeping his 2020 busy so far. In January, the 6 God unveiled “Life is Good,” his new collaboration with Future. They later followed it up with “Desires,” which was released exclusively on Drake’s OVO SoundCloud. It is still unclear at the moment if the pair are working on a sequel to their 2015 joint album, What a Time to be Alive.
