Drake isn’t content with starting 2018 by conquering the charts with “God’s Plan.” He wants to kill it all year round, and he’s continuing the hot streak by dropping yet another single, “Nice for What,” with a video to boot.
Produced by Murda Beatz, the track is a fun, spirited and made-for-the-club tune that sees Drizzy rapping over a pitched-up sample of Lauryn Hill’s “Ex-factor.” It’s not hard to imagine Drake with a beaming smile upon his face as he rips into verses about female empowerment: “You ain’t stressing off no lover in the past tense / You already had them.”
Complementing “Nice for What” is a video starring a bevy of famous women looking like they’re at the top of their game. Olivia Wilde, Rashida Jones, Issa Rae, Zoe Saldana, Michelle Rodriguez… you’d be forgiven for missing Drake himself in the clip.
