It’s back to business for Dr Dre who was recently released from the hospital after suffering a reported brain aneurysm earlier this month.
The veteran hip hop producer was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on January 4. According to TMZ, Dre was finally discharged from the hospital last Friday (January 15) after spending a few weeks in the intensive care unit. However, doctors have yet to disclose what caused the aneurysm.
On Saturday, Ice-T, who had previously shared an update about Dre’s condition, shared another positive update on the producer’s recovery. “Just FaceTimed with @drdre. He just made it home,” the rapper confirmed. “Safe and looking good.”

Later, Producer Focus posted a photo of himself with Dre and others in the studio. He also teased that they were working on Dre’s long-awaited Detox album. “And We Back!!” he wrote on Instagram, adding the hashtag #Detox21.
Before Dre was hospitalized, the producer was rumored to be working on the follow-up to 2015’s Compton album. In November 2020, comedian-actor Page Kennedy hinted that Dre’s upcoming album would feature a cameo from Eminem.
