Dot da Genius—otherwise better known as Kid Cudi’s right-hand man—tests his mic skills on his debut single “Fettuccine,” which dropped last Friday.
The track hits hard from the get-go, as expected from the genius behind Cudi’s success. Taking aim at his haters, Dot drops smooth bars over a fiery, self-produced beat with guest verses from Fat Tony, Tunji Ige and Audio Push’s Price. “All you do is wait in line and buy Supreme / Boy you know you fake, you gotta take a seat,” the producer raps.
“My first single release featuring Fat Tony, Tunji Ige, Price (1/2 [of] Audio Push). Produced by ME,” Dot wrote in the song’s SoundCloud description. “This is underground shit… Not for radio!”
There’s no official word if Dot’s single will be followed by an EP or album, but if that happens, we’ll be ready.
