Donald Glover recently appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! to promote his latest movie, Disney’s The Lion King, a remake of the 1994 animated classic. He also took a minute to discuss the future of his rap alter ego, Childish Gambino.

Last year, the rapper-actor announced his plans to hang up the mic for good, explaining to Huffington Post that he didn’t feel like it was “necessary” to continue the musical persona any longer. During Kimmel’s interview, the host wondered if Glover is really done with Gambino for good.

“Is that over now?” Kimmel asked before Glover hesitantly replied, “I think I’m still going to do shows.” The Grammy-winning multihyphenate also went on to reveal that he’s “not quite sure” what the future holds for his rap career. “I love music,” Glover said. “I really love making music.”

The Atlanta star did confirm that he’s still going on tour in Australia later this year to make up for the shows he missed after breaking his foot last September.

Elsewhere in the interview, Glover discussed what it was like working with Beyoncé in The Lion King and talked about his son’s admiration for the pop star. Watch the full Kimmel interview below:
