Don Toliver drops trippy video for “What You Need”

The single will land on his sophomore album.

Don Toliver has shared a trippy visual directed by Nabil for his new single, “What You Need.”

The Houston native headed to Colombia for the clip, and also enlisted Columbian-American singer Kali Uchis, who is seen praying in a church in the beginning of the video. Later on, Toliver rides a green limo into a mystical forest, where Uchis is seen hovering overhead in a puff of colorful smoke.

On the track, the Cactus Jack Records signee croons to a love interest and offers to give her anything she needs. “I just wanted to be heard, but I made some millions / I done caught you late night in that club countin’ your Benjamins / I know you steady touchin’ on your body when you reminisce / Whatever you want, count them dividends, yeah,” he sings.

“What You Need” will land on Toliver’s upcoming sophomore album. Last year, the rapper released his debut studio album, Heaven or Hell, and collaborated with Masego, Rico Nasty and Chase B. He also appeared on his mentee and label boss Travis Scott’s latest project, 2019’s Jackboys.
