Doja Cat drops “Unisex Freestyle”

The song was originally recorded back in 2018.

Doja Cat has unveiled a brand-new track, “Unisex Freestyle.”

On the self-produced track, the Los Angeles musician raps about her sexuality over a carefree, bouncy beat reminiscent of an old-school video game. “All the girls like me, and their mans / Unisex, okay, okay, unisex / I’m for all the ladies and gentlemen / I’m unisex, unisex,” she rhymes.

Prior to the release of “Unisex Freestyle,” Doja hopped on Instagram Live to tease the song’s release, explaining that it was originally recorded back in 2018. “[This song’s] kinda fire,” she said. “I like it, I like it… but, it just needs to be mastered, like—made better. And I made this beat, this song is cute as fuck… I like this song, it’s funny.”

“Unisex Freestyle” follows Doja’s remix of The Weeknd’s “In Your Eyes.” Earlier this year, the rapper clinched her first Billboard Hot 100 number one song with her “Say So” remix, featuring Nicki Minaj.
