Desiigner bares his “Soul” on new song

A new drop amidst his alleged label issues with Def Jam and GOOD Music.

Recently Desiigner has been hinting at label troubles with both Def Jam and GOOD Music, and those grievances are bleeding into his music. Just take the freshly released track, “Soul.”

For the new song, the “Panda” rapper recruited Benjamin Lasnier & Lukasbl for bass-heavy production. “Everyone move, get out of my way / They tried to shelve me, had to go get the K / Thank God I’m wealthy, I can pay anyway / This ain’t a diss but I’m feeling a way,” he spits.

“Soul” comes a week after Desiigner dropped off “Earned Iit” and his own “Thotiana” remix, both of which also took shots at his labels. The latter specifically calls out Kanye West, the founder of GOOD Music.
