Deante’ Hitchcock remixes Drake’s “What’s Next”

Hear the Atlanta native freestyle over Drizzy’s ‘Scary Hours 2’ track.

Deante’ Hitchcock has released his own take on Drake’s Scary Hours 2 cut, “What’s Next,” as part of his #NewAtlantaTuesdays freestyle series.

The Atlanta rapper brings braggadocious yet playful energy to the track, freestyling over the Maneesh and Supah Mario production. “Tell Charmin I’m on a roll / And I did this shit off the dome / Ain’t signin’ to TDE, but I got Top on the phone / Hopin’ they can’t hear me moan,” he spits. An accompanying video for the rework features Hitchcock and his friends enjoying a hilarious Nerf gun shootout in their neighborhood.

“What’s Next” is the latest in Hitchcock’s #NewAtlantaTuesdays series, following a cover of SpotemGottem’s viral single “Beat Box” as well as a new rendition of “Let the Beat Build.” Earlier this year, the rapper released the live album Live From Quarantine.
