Cordae and Young Thug have shared a thrilling new video for their collaboration, “Wassup.”
The 23-year-old rapper plays an underground boxer in the Matt Earl-directed clip, while Thugger poses as his manager. The pair make heaps of money in a fight club while a huge brawl breaks out among the fighters.
“I don’t wanna see your 20 dollar bill ’less it’s Harriet Tubman / My thoughts outta pocket,” quips Thug. “I been hidin’ from the world / The only thing seein’ me right now is the sky and the projects,” Cordae spits.
“Wassup” arrived on Cordae’s recent EP, Just Until… The four-song project also featured Q-Tip on “More Life,” and dropped in April ahead of Cordae’s upcoming sophomore album, From a Bird’s Eye View. His debut album, The Lost Boy, arrived in 2019 and was nominated for Best Rap Album at the 2020 Grammy Awards.
