Conway the Machine and Method Man have unveiled the video for their August collaboration “Lemon.”
In the Langston Sessoms-directed video, the rappers – decked out in appropriate yellow fits – hang out with their crew outside of neon-lit bodegas and apartments. The clip also includes a tribute to the late Griselda Records producer DJ Shay, who died in August this year.
“Don’t tell my n***as stay safe, tell ’em to stay dangerous / Batty hit that stem, almost fainted / Fiends love me in every ghetto, n***a, I’m famous / Have some young boys pull up, do you heinous,” the pair rap on the chorus.
“With the ‘Lemon’ video, I just wanted to give the streets and my diehard fans that nostalgic grimy shit they love me for,” Conway told Complex, which premiered the visual. He added: “Meth has a verse of the year contender!”
“Lemon” is set to appear on Conway’s forthcoming album, From King to a God. It will include the previously released songs “Fear of God” and “Front Lines.”
