Confirmed: Azealia Banks made a “spiritual pact” with Twitter CEO

It involved strands of hair, an amulet and ISIS.

File this under weird AF: Azealia Banks has just confirmed a two-year-old rumor about an amulet she had made for Twitter co-founder and CEO Jack Dorsey—using his hair.

The “Anna Wintour” rapper confirmed the rumor to Business Insider, which she said was a result of an awkward dinner they had back in 2016. Dorsey mentioned how he had been publicly threatened by ISIS, and Banks offered to make a protective charm for him. And one of the components of the spell? A few strands from the tech mogul’s glorious beard.

In return, Dorsey was meant to promote Banks’ Slay-Z mixtape when it dropped—a promise he didn’t keep, she said. “A lot of articles said I put a hex on him but I didn’t,” Banks told BI. “I have no reason to wish him harm. But we made a spiritual pact and he was supposed to make good on his end.”

Dorsey and Banks are no longer in contact, but it looks like she may yet get the last laugh. Because, in the same article, she made a startling confession: She still has a single strand of his hair.
