Common performs “Say Peace” on ‘The Tonight Show’

He was accompanied by Black Thought.

Common recently made an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to perform “Say Peace,” a cut from his latest album, A Beautiful Revolution (Pt 1).

Accompanied by The Roots’ Black Thought, the rapper gave a spirited remote rendition of the track, injecting some fun into their set with a green screen. The colorful performance included archival footage of PJ, who also appeared on the song, alongside protest footage while Common and Black Thought traded their charged bars onstage.

Common’s A Beautiful Revolution (Pt 1) LP also featured Lenny Kravitz on “A Riot in My Mind.” Black Thought, on the other hand, also recently dropped a new project, Streams of Thought Vol 3: Cane and Abel.
