CJ Fly, Joey Bada$$ throw a block party in “Rudebwoy” video

Pro Era rappers CJ Fly and Joey Bada$$ celebrate their roots in the video for “Rudebwoy,” produced by Statik Selektah.

In the clip, the duo throw a rowdy block party in tribute to their Caribbean heritage while trading raunchy lines. “American and Blasian, plus my father’s side Jamaican / Blick of man eye, God can take it, in the bedroom, I’m amazin’ / She told me she had some tricks, a holy, but nastiness / I won’t even ask what’s more to ya, was too much, I had to dip,” Fly raps.

“This song is the title track of my debut album, so it’s giving you a taste of what you’re about to get from me on this project,” Fly told Billboard. “The vibes are very Caribbean, energetic and fun. In the hook, I’m explaining one way a ‘Rudebwoy’ could be, but also putting a spin on the stigma about Jamaican men.”

“Rudebwoy” is Fly’s first release since his May single “Bird.” On the other hand, Joey Bada$$ currently stars as Inspectah Deck in Hulu’s ongoing drama series about the Wu-Tang Clan, Wu-Tang: An American Saga.
